HOW TO ACCEPT THE WORLD AS IT IS, WHILE WORKING FOR CONSTRUCTIVE CHANGE

Reflecting back on 2020 – it resembles no year in recent human history. The Ottawa Pathwork community is offering a series of free lecture discussions focused on how to make the world a better place through our own development and outer actions.  A series of six lectures will be presented in 90 minute Zoom sessions.

In this sixth gathering of our Lecture Series, we will study Lecture #181 –The Meaning of Human Struggle.  This session asks the question:

Can we embrace the truth that we each create our own reality, and so begin to create a life and a world filled with meaning and abundance?

Imagine a world in which human beings accepted responsibility for everything in their lives; the good, the bad and the ugly.  We could call it “No Fault” living; no blaming, no revenge seeking, no victim mentality. Each person would undertake to ferret out the negativity responsible for all undesirable events.  This clearing of our inner house would allow for the creation of positive life experiences.  Our sense of powerlessness and lack of meaning about life would be replaced with the confidence to become conscious creators of our own destiny.

Lecture #181 introduces us to the concept of human beings as creators, with the power to manifest according to our thoughts and beliefs about reality.  This incredible freedom comes with a price; the willingness to overcome our resistance to:

  1. Accepting responsibility for all undesirable occurrences in our lives.
  2. Taking on the challenge of transforming our inner destructiveness.

Janet Mullen, a long time Pathworker from Ottawa, will facilitate this evening of meditation, lecture teaching, a reflective exercise and group sharing.

Join us Wednesday May 19th at 7 pm by Zoom.  The evening will include a short lecture teaching, meditation, a reflective exercise and group sharing. To register, please contact Jill Chitra at jill.chitra@gmail.com and you will be sent the link for Zoom.  While there is no charge to attend this teaching, freewill donations will be gratefully received by e-transfer at info@pathworkottawa.ca.
